My Story

Hi, I'm Tanya.

I'm the founder of Set Apart Wellness — a wife, mom of 5 amazing kids, and grandma to 2 sweet grandbabies. But long before I was coaching other women, I was living this struggle myself.

I was thrown into perimenopause at just 38 — while teaching HIIT classes and personal training full-time. I was doing everything "right": constant cardio, low-calorie eating, pushing hard every day. And still, I was gaining weight, picking up nagging micro-tear injuries, and running on empty as a mom and trainer trying to hold it all together.

It took living through it myself to finally break the code: my body wasn't the same as it was in my 20s, so I couldn't keep treating it — or coaching other women — the same old way. Once I shifted to real strength training, proper fuel, and working with my body instead of against it, everything changed.

Today, I coach women online — 1:1 and in group programs — so you can train with me from anywhere, on your own schedule. If you're local, we can also start in-person and transition you into an online rhythm that fits your life.
